#1147 German Porcelain Ankle Shoe with Boy and Dog
Porcelain bisque ankle shoe with in-mold dog and partially in-mold boy (lower torso), upper body applied. Is reminiscent of Weiss, Kuhnert shoes and is the reciprocal to the girl and dog model shown in the text Porcelain and Pottery Shoes by Anne Everest Wojtkowski, page 99R4, maker unknown. Shoe is done in flat and enameled green with applied gold beading. Boy has gold beading and trim as well. Features are all hand detailed. Circa 1900. 5 x 3.2 shoe only, 4.25 HOA; 3.7 oz. Condition report: very good.
